The 16U Michigan Icebreakers captured the BD's Mongolian Grill Spring Tournament with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over the Birmingham Rangers in the championship game. Round-robin play saw the Icebreakers beat both the Livonia Knights and Rochester Rattlers by identical 2-1 scores before dropping a 3-1 decision Birmingham.
The 16U Icebreaker team members are goalies Michelle Kerry and Allie Carter, defense Katie Murphy, Kayla Schneider, Abby Davidson, Hannah Stage, Jane Eustice and Stefanie Berkstresser, and forwards Erika First, Emily Hysong, Jessie Spaun, Megan Kaster, Sarah Blackhurst, Miranda Phair, Jennifer Polin, Rachel Kirsch and Stephanie Denhaus, the team is managed by Debra Davidson and the coaches are Lyle Phair, Rob Murphy, Craig Hysong and Ken Berkstresser.
Suburban Ice - Farmington Hills is the home of The Michigan Icebreakers Girls Hockey Club which offers programs for girls of all ages and skill levels including the Adorabelles Learn to Play program for ages 4-7, the Incredibelles program for ages 6-9, Girls Hockey Leagues at the 10U, 12U and 14U age groups and 12U, 14U and 16U Michigan Icebreakers teams which play in the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League.
